This sermon explores Psalm 22, known as the Psalm of the Cross, which provides deeper insight into Jesus's experience during the crucifixion. While Jesus only made seven statements from the cross, this psalm, written by David centuries before, prophetically details the physical and emotional suffering Christ endured. The message highlights four main aspects of Jesus's sacrifice: He was forsaken so we could be forgiven, loathed so we could be loved, hurt so we could be healed, and died so we could live.
