How it all started...
World Redemption Center (WRC) was established because of a need to get to the next level in growing in The Word. We started an in-home Bible study in January of 2011, growing together and sharpening one another. In the fall of 2012 we felt led to start meeting on Sunday mornings. We searched for a building that would fit our needs and eventually found our first location, a shopping center on 171 in Moss Bluff, LA. October 7th, 2012 was our first "church" meeting.
Where we are now...
As the leadership prayed about our next steps as a church. We continued to hear the phrase.."stepping stone." After much thought and prayer, we decided to move into the old "Wheelers" skating rink. We renovated for 3 months in the fall of 2022 and moved into the rink in mid-November. We had our first Sunday on our stepping stone on Nov 13th, 2022. This space is 3 times larger than the shopping center and will allow us to grow even more before we take our next step in our plans to build.
Our future...
After moving into the rink, we have continued to see God move in a big way in our church and community. What we thought would be a temporary stepping stone, has now become home. We purchased the building in June of 2024 and we have new plans to remodel the rink to fit even more people. We can't wait to see what God will do through our church from this point on.
